  1. This sample file shows how you can merge graphics output with your
  2. text output if you have a compatible printer.  There is a graphics
  3. file SAMPLE.GIF created by PCG2.EXE which was included in your
  4. distribution disk.   We will print ┌─!<sample.gif ?bn>─┐ .........
  5. the graph where the box shows on   │                   │ .........
  6. the right.  The characters to the  │                   │ .........
  7. right of the box are only there    │                   │ .........
  8. to illustrate that text can be on  │                   │ .........
  9. both sides of the picture.  You    │                   │ .........
  10. can print multiple pictures at the │                   │ .........
  11. same level or they can be stag-    │                   │ .........
  12. gered.  You should use a fixed     │                   │ .........
  13. font when printing .GIF files      └───────────────────┘ .........
  14. with PC-Type.  Before beginning to print this file, replace the ?
  15. after the .GIF with:
  16.    E if you are printing to a standard Epson 8-pin dot matrix printer
  17.    Q if you are printing to an Epson 24-pin dot matrix printer
  18.    L if you are printing to a LaserJet printer.
  19. Then press F2 and P to bring up the print window.  Make sure your
  20. output is sent to your printer (e.g. LPT1) and press F10 to start.

  22. Try changing the size of the box in the text and print the file again.
